Claims Made by Multiple Parties
A Complaint for Interpleader is when several persons have a claim in the same thing or funds held by another. The person holding the thing or funds has done nothing wrong and has no claim to the thing or funds. The person holding the thing or funds will then file a lawsuit to bring all the persons with an interest in the thing or funds to court. The court will then allow the person holding the thing or funds out of the action. Then the court will decide who is entitled to receive the thing or the funds.
