Get Outside Help
In some places, it is fine to go into a gated community or locked apartment complex if you get the permission of someone who is living there. You could get permission from a neighbor. In some places, it is against the law for a fellow employee to interfere with process service. If you are serving process in a place like that, you could get some help where the person works. Make sure that you look at the relevant laws to ensure that you are doing something that is completely legal and check with your lawyer too.
